About Me

I've had a real right brain/left brain life.

Growing up in the shadow of Sputnik and Duck and Cover drills, I was interested in computers, comic books, rockets, robots and rock. I always remember being able to draw, even before I could write.

After graduating from college with a degree in painting, I washed dishes and made pizza for six months before somehow scoring a job at D'Arcy McManus & Masius Advertising in St. Louis. I put in time as an art director in California and in Texas. then, repenting of success, I went back to graduate school and got an MFA in painting.

In 1994 I designed my first web site. Since then I've slowly migrated away from the design to the technical side of web technologies.

These days I manage external web services for a Fortune 500 Business with divisions in North and South America, Europe and Asia. I'm responsible for keeping several hundred website owners happy. When I'm not doing that, I painting, write and play guitar.
